Executive Director –Richard Taaffe
Richard and his wife Rose Marie moved from Santa Fe, New Mexico in late 2005 to head up the newly established West Hawaii Community Health Center.  While in Santa Fe, Richard worked at various positions including Aide to Governor of New Mexico, Assistant to the President of Northern New Mexico Community College, and CEO of La Familia Medical Center.  He also participated in numerous social and civic organizations.  Since moving to Hawaii, Richard has become Treasurer of the Hawaii Primary Care Association Board of Directors; he’s been appointed to the Kohala Kona Chamber of Commerce as well as appointed by Governor Lingle to the West Hawaii Regional Hospital Board of Directors.
